Fake Ledger websites dominate the top spot in Google searches, with related websites receiving more than one million visits in the past 30 days
On October 10, security researcher @cyberscrilla exposed a cyber attack against Ledger, whose fake official website and application appeared on the first screen of Google search results with the intention of stealing users '24-word restored phrases. According to Google statistics, the phishing website has received more than 1 million visits in the past 30 days. Previously, security vendor Zscaler pointed out in a special investigation in September that there were malicious Google ads disguised as Ledger, which would direct users to fake wallet verification pages. Currently, Ledger Company has been involved in investigating a suspected theft of a customer's wallet involving Southeast Asian dealer CryptoBilis. The amount involved is initially estimated to be US$86 million.
