On October 13, crypto market analyst Axel Adler Jr cited online data to point out that the average cost base for long-term Bitcoin holders (LTH) is currently US$48,600, and the current price is about 72% higher than this cost level. The group has remained profitable since January 2023, and the last time it approached the cost line was March 2023. LTH's average cost base peaked at $49,500 on July 30 and has since fallen 1.7%. In the 74 days from August 1 to the present, 60 days of weekly changes have been negative, with the largest weekly decline occurring on August 25 at 0.34%, while the current reading is-0.06%. Axel Adler Jr believes the decline is moderate; if it continues to fall, it means the selling is accelerating, and if it returns to positive, it means long-term holders are resuming accumulation.
