South Korea National Card signed a memorandum with Japan's SBI to test AI agent identity verification and cross-border encrypted payments

KB Kookmin Card has reached a memorandum of understanding with Japan's SBI Holdings. According to The Block, the two sides plan to test identity verification for AI agents and explore cross-border encrypted payments. In addition, the two sides will also study how Japanese tourists use cryptoassets (including stablecoins) to make payments to South Korean merchants. Korea National Card is part of KB Financial Group, a credit card company;SBI Holdings is a financial holding group in Japan.
