The Korean Securities Depository (KSD) is pursuing a plan to establish an infrastructure connection between its securities tokenization market and Avalanche. This information was revealed by Avalanche on October 13th. According to KSD’s technical guidelines, its platform intends to support various types of blockchain technologies, with Avalanche being one of them. Avalanche’s announcement states that this plan covers issuance, trading, clearing, settlement, and investor rights, with the ultimate goal of achieving on-chain settlement. In KSD’s distributed ledger guidelines—which reflect development progress as of July 2026—Avalanche is listed alongside Hyperledger Besu and Hyperledger Fabric as technologies that KSD plans to support. This indicates that KSD is committed to compatibility with multiple blockchain technologies, rather than using Avalanche exclusively as the infrastructure for Korean securities transactions.
