Sequoia Capital Restructuring: Closing London Office, Shutting Down Arc Accelerator
Sequoia Capital published a lengthy post titled “The Sequoia of Tomorrow” on X, offering a systematic review of major transformations completed one year after its generational transition: a full shift toward a high-conviction, highly selective venture capital strategy; streamlining the structure of the Sequoia Capital Fund; discontinuing the mass-scale accelerator programs Arc and Scouts; and concurrently slimming down both operational and investment teams. Organizationally, it has eliminated the distinction between “early-stage” and “growth-stage” teams, consolidating them into a single, unified investment team; closed its London office—resulting in some staff departures—with future European founders now supported directly by its San Francisco Bay Area headquarters. The partnership model has also undergone flattening reforms, including scrapping the fixed weekly Monday partner meeting cadence. Meanwhile, Sequoia has successfully raised approximately $10 billion for its new fund. The firm is currently led by seven General Partners.
