Binance: 98% of stolen assets have been reimbursed; the next Proof-of-Reserves snapshot covers 44 tokens
Binance has issued a new update on the progress of its security incident recovery: As of now, approximately 98% of the affected assets have been replenished. For the remaining 2%—comprising tokens with relatively lower liquidity—the platform is actively acquiring them via both on-market trading and over-the-counter (OTC) channels; full replenishment is expected to take additional time. Regarding the stolen funds, Binance has explicitly committed to covering 100% of the losses and has already allocated, from its own capital, more than 100% of the total required amount to ensure full coverage. Additionally, according to the announcement, Binance completed its latest Proof of Reserves (PoR) snapshot at 08:00 UTC on November 4. This round significantly expands the scope of covered tokens—from 10 in the previous snapshot to 44. The full zero-knowledge proof generation is estimated to take 50–60 hours; once complete, users holding any of these 44 tokens will be able to independently verify whether their account balances are backed by reserves at or above a 1:1 ratio.
