Financial Times: Democrats plan deep investigation into Trump’s crypto-related businesses
The Financial Times reported that, following the Democrats’ control of both the House and Senate, Hakeem Jeffries stated he would unveil his first legislative agenda within 100 hours of assuming the role of Speaker of the House on January 3. Key priorities include repealing Medicaid cuts, formulating a tariff response strategy, and advancing efforts to end the war with Iran. Trump previously vowed to “veto everything.” Meanwhile, Jamie Raskin and Robert Garcia are expected to assume leadership of the House Judiciary Committee and Oversight Committee, respectively, and plan to launch investigations into law firms that signed agreements with the Trump administration, donors whom Trump pardoned, and their cryptocurrency-related businesses. However, Democrats remain divided on whether to initiate a second impeachment process against Trump.
