Wang Huilin Bets on Another AI Agent Startup—From Kimi and Manus to AirBuild
Breaking AI News from Beating AI, November 4: Wang Huiwen, co-founder of Meituan, revealed on Jike that his latest investment is AirBuild. His family office, Lollapalooza Capital, has officially added YellowPlus—the company behind AirBuild—to its portfolio on its official website.
AirBuild aims to fully automate the entire iOS app development and App Store launch process using AI. Users simply describe their requirements in natural language; multiple AI Agents—each specializing in product, design, engineering, and other functions—then collaborate to break down requirements, design interfaces, and generate native iOS code.
A core capability of the platform is automated handling of Apple App Store review processes: AI automatically generates app screenshots and App Store description copy, then submits the app for review. If rejected, it parses Apple’s feedback, autonomously modifies code or adds supplementary materials, replies to the review team with explanations, and resubmits—all significantly reducing manual intervention.
AirBuild’s founder and CEO is Hwang, who previously led product design for the open-source knowledge management tool AFFiNE, was an early core member of the AI Agent product Bridge, and independently developed Lofi. and Sleepy Coffee—both of which received Apple App Store Editor’s Choice recognition.
AirBuild currently operates on an invite-only basis; users must first apply for testing access. The free tier supports collaborative iOS app development, program building, and website hosting via AI Agents—but requires users to supply their own AI model API keys. The paid tier offers additional cloud compute resources and higher model invocation quotas, plus integrated TestFlight distribution, automated App Store submissions, and automatic fixes and resubmissions based on Apple’s review feedback.
Since stepping away from “Light-Year Beyond” in 2023, Wang Huiwen has consistently doubled down on AI investments, backing several startups—including Moonshot (developer of Kimi), Butterfly Effect (creator of Manus), Silicon Flow, Aishi Technology, and Sand.ai.
