Serenity: Sivers may become a key bottleneck and "stuck neck" link in the CPO industry

Serenity, the "new stock god", issued an analysis saying that as co-packaged optics (CPO) technology is expected to enter the large-scale deployment stage in the second half of 2027, SiversSemiconductors (SIVE) may play the role of both an industrial bottleneck and a key node.
It pointed out that the supply of continuous wave (CW) lasers has shown signs of tightness. Affected by previous Nvidia-related orders, Japan's Sumitomo Electric, Furukawa Electric and WinSemi production capacity have been highly saturated. Sivers, which adopts the fab-lite model, has actually grasped the final supply of a large number of CW lasers by locking in the production capacity of WinSemi and other foundries in advance.
Analysis believes that many CPO routes, including AyarLabs, Jabil, MarvellCelestial and other ultra-large-scale cloud vendor ASIC projects, are highly dependent on Sivers 'laser solutions and lack mature alternative sources in the short term, making them a structural "stuck neck" status in the entire ecosystem.
In addition, Sivers is also the default reference laser design solution for GlobalFoundries, and relevant ecosystem participants include AMD and multiple CPO chip suppliers. In addition to vendors with vertical integration capabilities such as Nvidia and Broadcom, most ASIC and commercial CPO projects may be carried out around Sivers.
Serenity predicts that as the CPO market grows from near zero to US$81 billion to US$91 billion in about the next year and a half, Sivers is expected to replicate Lumentum's growth path and may grow into a company with a market value of approximately US$75 billion in the next few years. However, the above views only represent the personal judgment of market analysts.
