On October 31, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), re-posted its partnership announcement with Trade.xyz on its official X (formerly Twitter) account—updating the language to explicitly include key qualifiers such as “planned introduction” and “subject to regulatory approval.” The announcement states that ICE and Trade.xyz intend to bring perpetual contracts built on the Hyperliquid protocol to the U.S. market. If approved by regulators, ICE will operate a U.S.-regulated version of the Trade.xyz platform, leveraging Trade.xyz’s expertise as Hyperliquid’s leading real-world asset (RWA) perpetuals deployment partner. This new trading venue will operate independently from ICE’s existing institutional futures business line and is specifically designed to deliver a retail-focused trading experience. Once live, U.S. traders will be able to trade a broad range of macro-focused assets—including crypto assets, equities, indices, commodities, and foreign exchange—24/7. Access to the platform will require users to onboard through a Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)-regulated Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), which will conduct unified KYC and AML compliance checks—including ICE and OKX’s jointly funded FCM joint venture. ICE and Trade.xyz will work collaboratively to advance the necessary regulatory approvals, aiming to launch a KYC-compliant, leveraged perpetuals market powered by Hyperliquid.
