CZ: Infighting within the crypto industry is meaningless—remain decentralized, yet united.
Meta Financial AI noted on X that when crypto exchanges face major crises, their native tokens are typically the first to bear the brunt—citing sharp declines in FTX’s FTT, WazirX’s WRX, and Bitget’s BGB following their respective security incidents. On October 29, Binance suffered a $6.3 billion hack—the largest single loss ever recorded in the crypto industry, roughly 16 times the amount lost in Bitget’s prior breach. Yet over the past 30 days—including the period surrounding the attack—SOL, XRP, ETH, BTC, and BNB fell by 18.3%, 16%, 9.7%, 7.4%, and 5.7%, respectively, with BNB posting the narrowest decline. CZ responded that price movements across most crypto assets tend to align closely.
