At a regular press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning responded to a question from Yonhap News Agency. The journalist cited a statement released by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on October 31, alleging that North Korea orchestrated and carried out a cyberattack against cryptocurrency exchange Binance, resulting in the theft of approximately $6.3 billion in assets. The journalist also noted former U.S. President Donald Trump’s comment that, if the allegations are true, he would discuss the matter with North Korea—and asked for China’s view on both the incident and Trump’s remarks. Mao Ning replied that China has no knowledge of the matter.
