In a curious twist on Wall Street this October—just two years after BlackRock spearheaded the push to bring Ethereum (ETH) onto U.S. securities accounts—the firm’s own products have become the largest net sellers from spot ETH ETFs this month.
According to daily tracking data from Farside Investors, U.S. spot ETH ETFs collectively posted a net outflow of approximately $1.607 billion as of October 30. Of that total, BlackRock’s ETHA ETF alone accounted for roughly $1.42 billion—nearly 90%. Across the month’s 22 trading days, ETHA saw net outflows on 19 days; only three sessions—October 13, 21, and 23—recorded modest net inflows. Thus, the widely circulated claim of “23 consecutive days of net outflows” contradicts the actual data and should not be taken as accurate.
